Des-Case desiccant breathers are air filter and water
vapor removal systems designed to replace traditional breather caps on fluid
containing reservoirs, storagetanks and gearboxes. The breathers eliminate
moisture and contaminants in these systems, thereby improving performance.
Des-Case offers breather lines and fluid handling products
to meet the needs of varying applications and operating environments.
- Disposable breathers are Des-Case's most popular line and
provide the most cost-effective means of protection. A clear
body allows the user to easily recognize when the breather must
be changed. The blue silica gel inside changes to a light pink
color when maximum water adsorption has been reached.
Three-micron filtration exceeds most industry standards.

- Rebuildable steel breathers, available with carbon steel or
stainless steel housings, are growing in popularity. These units
are ruggedly constructed for high heat and particularly harsh
environments and handle higher airflow rates than the disposable
units. A sight glass indicates when the unit must be rebuilt-an
in-service process which takes less than five minutes.
